Schedule of Events

Race HQ

Race HQ is in Rice Lake at the Knights of Columbus (KC) Hall on North St. & Nuun Ave.

Gear Check: please follow a few simple instructions to keep things flowing –

  1. Show up at the time allotted for your event per schedule below (i.e., only 160-mile run/ski on Thursday)
  2. Do not come early, we need time to prepare
  3. Bring all of your required gear inside the KC Hall but try not to bring extra stuff, space is limited
  4. Take a gear check sheet from the front desk and fill in your name
  5. Find an empty table space (1/2 a table), you may need to wait for one to open up
  6. Have each item ready to check off in the order listed on the sheet

Race Day Check-in: You MUST check in on the morning of your race. If you don’t, you will not be counted as a starter. See below for details.

160-mile Run/Ski

  • Thursday Dec 26th, 2019
    • Mandatory Gear Check & bib pick up 5-7 pm at the KC Hall
    • Mandatory Pre-race Meeting 7 pm at the KC Hall
  • Friday Dec 27th, 2019
    • Mandatory Check-in 5:15-5:45 am inside the KC Hall
    • Race Start 6 am on the trail beside the KC Hall

160-mile Bike

  • Friday Dec 27th, 2019
    • Mandatory Gear Check & bib pick up 2-7 pm at the KC Hall
    • Mandatory Pre-race Meeting 7 pm at the KC Hall
  • Saturday Dec 28th, 2019
    • Mandatory Check-in 5:15-5:45 am inside the KC Hall
    • Race Start 6 am on the trail beside the KC Hall

80-mile Run / Bike / Ski

  • Friday Dec 27th, 2019
    • Mandatory Gear Check & bib pick up 2-7 pm at the KC Hall
    • Mandatory Pre-race Meeting 7 pm at the KC Hall
  • Saturday Dec 28th, 2019
    • If taking the bus from KC Hall:
      • Mandatory check-in 6:15-6:45 am inside the KC Hall
      • Load bikes/sleds/buses by 6:45 am
    • If not taking the bus:
      • Mandatory check-in 9:15-9:45 am in Park Falls
    • Race Start 10 am City Hall, Park Falls NEW location for 2019 Note: City Hall is located at 400 Fourth Ave S but we will access the start area from the rear, off Fifth Ave S.

Cut-off times

  • All races: finish by 11:00 pm Sunday
  • 160-mile: leave turnaround in Park Falls by midnight Saturday
    • Note that this means you have 23 hours to finish the race which requires traveling at a speed of 3.5 mph without rest
  • 80-mile and 160-mile: leave Ojibwa checkpoint by 10am Sunday
    • Note that this means you have 13 hours to finish the race which requires traveling at a speed of 3.5 mph without rest
  • The checkpoint cut-off times should not be used as guideline times for you to finish your race

All races finish at the KC Hall in Rice Lake.
